We can't wait to get a dog!
This week was fun. Neil was gone to Seattle (that wasn't the fun part) and I tried to have a good time with the kids. On Wednesday night we rented Hachi from the RedBox at Albertson's. The kids and I watched it in their room after we had gotten ready for bed. I was secretly hoping that they would fall asleep during the movie, but it didn't happen.
I loved the movie. It was slow paced, had wonderful music, and was simple. It was just nice to relax with my kids and watch a good movie! It spawned a nice array of questions from my kids, too.
And I know now more than ever that this family needs a dog. We can't wait to get out of this apartment so that this can happen. When we were at the park the other day, there was this family that brought their little dog with them and Brendan followed them around and played more with that dog than on the toys at times. The lady asked him if we had a dog, but he said "no...we live at the aparpments."
Last night Neil said: "Do you know what will happen if you keep on watching dog movies?" I have fought the idea of getting a dog, but I think that now I can honestly admit that I want one, too. I just know that it would be good for our family. Shhh....don't anyone tell Neil. :)
